This is a challenge to myself to take my photography seriously and feel confident to share it with others. I want to look at the world more deeply and express, intelligently and creatively, what I find. Hopefully, you will enjoy my little snapshots of the beautiful, but often sorrowful, world that I see.

when waiting is the hardest part
To see these two finally joined as one will be a blessed day. My heart is saddened because I will not be there for their wedding. I have known Jon since we were fourteen. He has grown to be a real brother to me. So being able to spend the day with them, taking Jon and his beautiful fiance's engagement photos, was a welcomed concession. Meredyth couldn't be lovelier - Jon has definitely done well for himself. Their love has traversed a vast landscape of challenges and come out the better for it. It is definitely something to celebrate and rejoice in.

portraits: week 14
Brittany and Darren Jennings are one of my favorite couples to be around. I have known Brittany for a long time and I couldn't have been more excited for her when she got engaged to Darren. Who could ask for a better guy for their friend to marry? Brittany is beautiful, artistic, and big-hearted. Darren is a hilarious, solid, and quality man. They were married this past summer and these are some of their engagement photos I was privileged to take. Darren and Brittany kind of have that folksy and quirky vibe, so I tried to capture that the best I could.
